The Rotary Club of Nordonia Hills has selected three students to receive a one year $1,000.00 scholarship for 2020.  The criteria for receiving the Chuck Sterling Rotary Scholarship is demonstration of academic achievement, extra-curricular participation, and because we are service club, a showing of community service. 
 
            This year’s recipients of the Chuck Sterling Scholarship are:
 
  1. Madelyn Wells- plans to attend Kent State University to major in Nursing.  She is graduating with a 4.495 GPA and is on the High Honor Roll.  Madelyn is a Member of National Honor Society. Participated in Volleyball and Softball.  300 hours of community service with, Knights Caring for Knights, UMC Dinner Out and TEAC.
  1. Julia Zaborski plans to attend Cleveland State University to major in Dance Therapy and Education.   She has a 4.00 GPA and is a member of National Honor Society, Book Club, Art Club, and Spanish Club. Julia participated in softball, was active in scouts and St. Barnaba Teen Life. She served over 500 hours of community service with the Nordonia Hills Library, Scouts, St. Barnabas church, United Methodist church and National Honor Society.
  1. Ramandeep Kaur plans to attend Ohio State University. Reamadeep earned a 4.281 GPA and plans to major in Chemistry (pre-med).   She is a member of National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Art Club, Math Club and Leadership Council. She also performed over 250 hours of community service with Knights Caring for Knights, Safety Town, Health Class service project, Rotary Shoebox project and Ledgeview PTA.
